Foreste Casentinesi after a snowstorm – Fine Art Print

Foreste Casentinesi after a snowstorm – Black and white fine Art Print

I took this photo on a four day expedition in the Italian Central Apennines mountain range during a severe weather warning. I slept in freezing condition during the nights and had several battery failures. In the national park of Foreste Casentinesi there are more than 9 tree species between 400 and 1660 mt of altitudes. The Casentino is a unique wilderness area that owes this high-biodiversity to its geographic position across the border of the Mediterranean area and continental Europe.
