Centuries-old Chestnut Tree – study n.2 – Black and White Fine Art Print

Another photograph of the Bear’s Chestnut Tree. It is extraordinary to find yourself in front of a being that has lived so long. Marked by the axe and fire but having survived over the centuries all the other chestnut trees and the men who have attempted its existence. Men who now seem to re-emerge from the bark as in a Dantesque scene.
